About Us
Dexios is Greek for "the right" or "the right hand" and is often used in the New Testament to refer to the right hand of the Father, where Jesus reigns on high (Matthew 26:64), and where those who are raised in Christ must seek Him (Colossians 3:1). The right is the place where God separates the sheep from the goats that are on the left (Matthew 25:33). In the book of Revelation, the right hand of God is used for significant purposesthe laying upon of John's head by Jesus' right hand (1:17) and the holding of the scroll (5:1).
Both symbolically and literally, the right is seen as that which is set apart by God. In a world where right and wrong are relative, those who are raised in Christ must fervently seek that which is Biblically true, and glorify God by upholding His principles, that we may be set apart for Him.
Our mission is to create and provide resourcesbooks, videos, and Bible study guidesto help families better understand and strengthen their purpose in leading God's sheep to His fold. Among our goals is to promote the vision of homeschooling as it relates to building up the family body and the Body of Christ.
Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe Scripture, in its entirety, originated with God, and it was given through the inspiration of chosen men. We hold that the Scriptures are infallible and inerrant. They are the unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. ~Hebrews 4:12
God
We believe there is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three personsFather, Son and Holy Spiriteach of whom possess equally all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality. In the beginning, God created out of nothing the world and all the things therein, thus manifesting the glory of His power, wisdom and goodness. By His sovereign power He continues to sustain His creation. By His providence He is operating throughout history to fulfill His redemptive purpose.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. ~Matthew 28:19-20
Salvation
Salvation is wholly a work of God's free grace, not the result in whole, or in part of human works or goodness, and must be personally appropriated by faith. When God begins a saving work in the heart of any person, He gives assurance in His Word that He indwells the believer throughout their life on earth and completes His work in the believer's life in heaven.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. ~Ephesians 2:8-9
